    Amazon is looking for an AI Content Expert II to help with annotations, content generation, and data analysis. As part of the Data Team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training data to improve and expand Large Language Models' (LLMs) capabilities.

    Key job responsibilities
    - Creating and annotating high-quality complex training data in multiple modalities (text, image, video) on various topics, including technical or science-related content
    - Writing grammatically correct texts in different styles with various degrees of creativity, stricly adhering to provided guidelines
    - Performing audits and quality checks of tasks completed by other specialists, if required
    - Making sound judgments and logical decisions when faced with ambiguous or incomplete information while performing tasks
    - Diving deep into issues and implementing solutions independently
    - Identifying and reporting tooling bugs and suggesting improvements

    A day in the life
    As an AI Content Expert, you will be responsible for creating training data that are complex in nature and will require you to make informed and high judgement decisions in each case. You will be working closely with scientists and engineers to review and update guidelines, identify tooling improvement opportunities, and engage in conversations regarding the quality of data.

    This is a part-time role with a fixed term contract.

    About the team
    The team works strictly in the office Monday through Friday with an eight-hour shift. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our capabilities and deliver the best product possible. Diverse team, regular meetings, trainings, and Amazon events throughout the year await you.
    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - High-School or equivalent diploma
    - Proven experience working with written language data, including experience with annotation, and other forms of data markup.
    - CEFR C1 or equivalent fluency in Dutch language
    - Written and spoken knowledge of English is essential (CEFR C1)
    - Strong understanding of Dutch and U.S.-based culture, society, and norms.
    - Strong research skills to gather relevant information, understand complex topics, and synthesize multiple resources; understanding of basic academic integrity, i.e. plagiarism.
    - Excellent attention to details and ability to focus for a long period of time
    - Comfortable with high-school level STEM
    - Ability to effectively write and evaluate diverse subject matter across various domains
    - Ability to adapt writing style to suit various style guidelines and customers.
    - Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
    - Experience with creating complex data for LLM training and evaluation
    - Proven experience working with command line interfaces and basic UNIX commands
    - Familiarity with common markup languages such as HTML, XML, Markdown
    - Familiarity with common standard text formats such as JSON, CSV, RTF
    - Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language
    - Familiarity with regular expressions syntax
    - Familiarity with Large Language Models
    - Comfort in annotation work that may include sensitive content

    The Amazon Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Data Services organization is responsible for developing diverse datasets to train and evaluate the Amazon AI models. We are looking for Language Engineers to join our science and engineering team to support the development of complex, multimodal datasets, using a range of approaches including synthetic data generation, model-supported data generation, and human-in-the-loop data collections.

    You will play a critical role in driving innovation and advancing the state-of-the-art in evaluating and training AI models. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and data scientists to ensure that our AI systems are best in class.

    Key job responsibilities
    - Design complex data collections with human participants in response to science needs: author instructions, define and implement quality targets and mechanisms, provide day-to-day coordination of data collection efforts (including planning, scheduling, and reporting), and be responsible for the final deliverables
    - Design and conduct complex data creation tasks using synthetic and model-based data generation methods, following state-of-the-art approaches
    - Analyze and extract insights from large amounts of data
    - Build tools or tool prototypes for data analysis or data creation, using Python or another scripting language
    - Use modeling tools to bootstrap or test new AI functionalities
    - Collaborate with scientists, software engineers, and other data creators to evaluate performance of AI models

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Master's or higher degree in a relevant field (Computational Linguistics or equivalent field with computational analysis)
    - 2+ years experience in computational linguistics or language data processing or AI data creation
    - Experience with language data annotation systems and other forms of data markup
    - Proficient with scripting languages, such as Python
    - Experience working with speech, text, and multimodal data in multiple languages
    - Excellent communication, strong organizational skills and very detailed oriented
    - Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - PhD in Computational Linguistics (or equivalent field with computational emphasis)
    - Expertise in bootstrapping AI data collections for quickly evolving requirements
    - Experience in data creation for complex agentic workflows
    - Practical experience with Machine Learning
    - Familiarity with technical concepts such as APIs
    - Practical knowledge of version control and agile development, database queries and data analysis processes (SQL, R, Matlab, etc.)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience with database queries and data analysis processes (SQL, R, MATLAB, etc.), or Unix
    - PhD in Computational Linguistics (or equivalent field with computational emphasis)
    - Expertise in bootstrapping AI data collections for quickly evolving requirements
    - Extensive experience working with speech, text, and multimodal data in multiple languages
    - Experience in data creation for complex agentic workflows
    - Practical experience with Machine Learning
    - Familiarity with technical concepts such as APIs

    - Willingness to support several projects at one time, and to accept reprioritization as necessary
